Martin’s Auto

Martin's Auto came to us with the idea of using the design sense of the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. We would never use green, a color that Mondrian detested (it was said he picknicked in the shade so his white suit would not receive the green reflections of the grass.) We did push the idea of a non-rectangular sign to add some excitement. There was a great opportunity to make Mondrian's design sense look like a car grill.
